Well it has been a while since the last post. The summer has been a great disappointment for us in the UK as we have had poor weather for many years and this year we were promised something special. Unfortunately the sunny days have been few and far between and inconsistent weather has been prominent.
There is still a chance for some sun still this year and those who were planning to invest in a Sun Awning product may find that this poor summer has really worked too their advantage when considering a purchase of a Sun Awning.
There are obvious reasons why suppliers and manufacturers of Sun Awnings have now lowered their pricing. Of course, at this time of year, people will often think to leave the purchase of the Sun Awning until the following year. This can be a mistake as investing now, you can often save over 50% of the cost that you would pay in peak seasons. On top of this, the fact that the weather has been so poor this year, Sun Awning companies have a lot of excess stock – bought in on the promise of the good summer weather that the whole country so deserved.
Look out for the promotions of the Sun Awning specialists and you will see some fantastic savings as well as some great offers on how quickly your Sun Awning can be installed. I have seen companies manufacturing a bespoke Sun Awning product and promising installation within a two week period. This is great for many reasons, certainly one is the fact that there is still a glimmer of hope that the summer is not over yet and we will still have some nice sunny periods throughout September and October – perfect for making use of the Sun Awning before next year.
Another huge benefit of the Sun Awning is the fact that it can be used in light rain which allows you to continue being outside even when these light showers come and go.
With the Sun Awning market being flooded by low grade, poor quality Sun Awning products, it is now even more important to ensure that the Sun Awning product you choose is high quality. Usually the only way to achieve this is to use one of the top named home improvements companies to buy your Sun Awning from. They will offer you a professional service from sales right through to fitting. Another option for those who are very price conscious and perhaps practically minded there are now options to buy these high quality Sun Awnings direct to be delivered to your door on a supply only basis. You can simply install the Sun Awning yourself and save a large amount of money by missing out the sales reps, surveyors and fitting teams.
Fingers crossed that summer continues!
It must have something to do with climate change. Anyway, it should not scare off people from getting those awnings. Some of these I saw really look great. Looking forward to getting one of my own one of these days.
Winter sure is fast approaching…Sun awnings are a great addition and a cheaper option than adding a sun room. I have a retractable awning and would recommend one to anyone who enjoys being outside on a sunny day. The shade it provides makes it manageable to sit outside on hot sunny days.
well we all know that the weather was no fun this year. It seems that we didnt even have summer. I ve bought and setup a really cool sun awning that i was desperately waiting to use properly. Better luck enxt year.
I love Sunsetter awnings. I am an interior designer but hav done backyard designing also along with outdoor window treatments and I always recommend them to all my clients.
Awnings seem to be a great deal for their usefulness and great benefits.
I just got a sun awning for my house last month and was able to get a *great* deal because it was so late in the year.
My mother has an awning like the one in the picture, she loves it a lot. I have used the grill many times during light showers and it has never been an issue.
To be honest any awning company who will charge you 50% more for a product in the summer is just ripping you off. Awnings do not change so much like fashion does – they tend to stay the same if a re tailer has some in stock he might do you a quick fit or a discount but if he offers 50% off in the winter then his prices are over inflated in the summer –
@Juliet – I think you would be surprised at home much awning fashion does change! And old stock the following season can be a real pain to the awning retailer.
I love the awnings myself, I have a travel trailer and it has one that I use. They are not just for houses you know. They give a person some shade from the hot sun in the heat of the day. That way a person can enjoy the out of doors when otherwise the sun would be beating down on them.
I bought our sun awning last year at the beginning of the summer. It was pricey but worth it for the summer.
